The Gudrù, produced only in particularly good or excellent years, presents a garnet red color with dark reflections. The bouquet is characterized by aromas of red fruit (strawberries, cherry jam) and liquorice, with hints of cinnamon and cloves. In the mouth, the wine is full and enveloping with a good tannic structure. The aftertaste is that of ripe fruit.Food pairing: red meats such as Florentine steak, rack of lamb and braised veal cheeks, game and truffle or mushroom dishes. Also an ideal companion to mature cheeses and deserts featuring dark chocolate.
